Best solo getaway: Getting lost, driving around the Volcan Baru area and exploring the gorgeous green rolling hills, witnessing sustainable farming techniques in action and visiting a fantastic organic café near the top of a volcano.
Did the most with the least cash in: Queidersbach, Germany – a small town in Western Germany near France. I rented a bike and went to local bakeries and pubs, and everything was economically-priced.
The food I’d travel across the globe just to taste: Gelato, or really any culture’s equivalent of ice cream. If they make it, I will come.
Next destination on my list: Coming up, Cartagena, Colombia. On the wish list, Morocco and Egypt.
Best sleep of my life in: Yosemite National Park after the 20-mile Half Dome hike. A sleeping bag on the ground has never felt more luxurious.
