If moving to Panama and bringing along your family pet sounds overwhelming, relax! It is easy, easy!
When I decided I wanted to bring Maxie with me to Panama, I started asking around about the process of bringing a pet to Panama. I was given all sorts of precautions: people advised me not to bring him, they told me that he’d be put in quarantine for 90 days, and said that if I insisted on bringing my dog to Panama, I ought to hire a really good lawyer to navigate through the tricky process.
These warnings seemed a little extreme, so I spoke with my family vet and she agreed to help with the paperwork.
I was nervous about flying my dog, as he’d be put in cargo. But as it turns out, Maxie loves to fly! When we arrived at the airport in Panama, I found the pet entry process to be very friendly. They handled my Maxie with great care and processed the paperwork in a time-efficient manner.
In the end, Maxie had a great, stress-free experience traveling to Panama, whereas I was nervous because of everything I’d been told – but in the end I found out for myself that taking a pet to Panama is simple and hassle-free. Just be sure that your paperwork is order, relax and enjoy the flight!
