We have exciting news! The Colorado Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) has announced their 2010 Design and Planning Award recipients. The Resort at Isla Palenque Master Plan will receive The President’s Award in Planning – the highest honor given in its category and the only President’s award to be given this year. Our Master Plan will also receive the Land Stewardship Award for its holistic approach to preserving the island’s integrity. The awards will be presented at a banquet on October 14 at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver. Design Workshop will be representing the Isla Palenque design team.
Earlier this year, we were also awarded the national ASLA Professional Award for Excellence in Resort Planning. The ASLA’s mission is to lead, to educate, and to participate in the careful stewardship, wise planning, and artful design of our cultural and natural environments. ASLA members are dedicated to inspiring the public through work that enhances natural and built environments. It is truly an honor that both the national ASLA and the Colorado chapter hold our Master Plan in such high regard.
2010 has been a big year for our Master Plan – it has not only come to completion but has been awarded and recognized. We are excited to watch our award winning plan come to life as we approach 2011. love learning about your island, the canopy homes are my favorite, love the pacific side, I have a home on the pacific in northern california, on a cliff 300 feet above the beach much like your canopy homes.
