  • Adam Elliott’s Alaska Vistas

Adam Elliott is a professional photographer based in Anchorage, Alaska, as well as a longtime friend of Amble Resorts’ founder and president Ben Loomis. In 2009, Adam brought his expertise in HDR photography to Isla Palenque, producing a number of magnificent, life-like images that communicate the island’s wild, arresting natural beauty. In addition to HDR photography, Adam is skilled in travel, landscape, architecture, aerial, documentary, and portrait photography. To explore Adam’s impressive collection of images and read the stories behind them, visit his website, Atom’s Picture Blog.

For this slideshow, Adam shared photos from his wilderness adventures in Alaska. These glacial scenes and glittering landscapes seem particularly appropriate during this winter season. From my desk in Amble’s corporate office in Chicago, I can see the season’s first big snow coming down outside as I write this. I’ll just have to re-imagine the skyscrapers and Frank Lloyd Wright houses as the massive mountains and glistening ice formations of Alaska.
